This regional training of Transformers Civic Activism – Arts for Social Change was the third and last for 2020. It took place in Ohrid from 30 of October to 04 of November and brought together one of the youngest (in age) group of future Transformers from #WesternBalkans. This training is part of a series of regional trainings that encourages active involvement of (young) citizens and aims to enlarge the group of #Transformers that together develop and support creative civic actions. The training is designed to encourage the use of artistic techniques to address relevant issues and to contribute to improving the quality of life in local communities. In addition to providing instructions and theory on civic and urban art techniques, the training also included the opportunity to develop simulation projects in the surroundings of Ohrid. and Struga The learnings from this first practical experience are then used to develop actual civic activism related projects that are set to be implemented over the period November 2020 to April 2021. The #Transformers initiative is implemented by Centre LOJA and is supported by the partner organization Kurve Wustrow in the framework of the Civil Peace Service program (supported by German Government – BMZ). Some of Art Initiatives will be supported also by Goethe Institute. In given COVID circumstances and recommendations, Center LOJA is exploring all options to bring together sometime in November-December the Transformers from a different generations for a regional gathering on Civic Activism. #More_Regional! #More_LOJA_more_European
