This period, #Center_LOJA is actively involved in the forthcoming FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum 2021 – “Translate. Relate. Act”.

Besides LOJA’s director, the other panelist are Mr. Johann Saathoff – German Federal Foreign Office, MP and Coordinator for Inter-societal Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia and the Eastern Partnership Countries, Mrs. Lika Zakharyan – Peace Worker and Journalist and Mr. Stefan Meister, Director of Heinrich Böll Foundation South Caucasus Office. Moderation by Mrs. Melanie Bleil – Brot für die Welt, Germany.

This panel will look on the complexity of the 44 days war at Karabakh and will try to address the challenges and opportunities for an active engagement of the multilateral structures of OSCE and EU to contribute to building and maintaining constructive relations between states and societies in the South Caucasus Region. It also asks what contribution the German government could make in order to support such engagement
Bujar Luma, will share experiences from South East Europe and focus on How can the German government and the EU make constructive contributions towards building positive relations among states and societies in its neighborhood? What can they do to contribute to achieving peace and good relations in the South Caucasus region?
PBF2021 will debate innovative approaches to current peacebuilding challenges. It will offer space to reflect on the future of peacebuilding based on current global trends and focus on the new ways of bringing partnerships into action, translating existing realities into policies and meaningful action, and expanding partnerships with related sectors and policy areas.
PBF 2021 is a two-part virtual conference that brings together experts and practitioners to discuss current questions in the peacebuilding field. The first part, the Virtual Sessions from 27 to 29 April, will be hosted by FriEnt members and partner organizations from all over the world. The second part on 5 and 6 May will feature plenary sessions, breakout sessions and the political afternoon – all live as an interactive stream.
