This year’s study visit brought us to Passau, Germany. The study trip took place from 04 to 09 July 2025, focusing on teacher training, multicultural education, and fighting discrimination. The visit aimed to explore innovative educational practices, promote peaceful coexistence, cultural diversity, and inclusive education.

The visit started with team-building activities, where participants had the opportunity to explore the city and learn more about its history. Throughout the five-day journey, the participants visited the Gusen Memorial Center, visited the University of Passau, where they met with Matthias Fuchs and Annelise Fraser, managing directors of the Teacher Education Center in Passau and with Dr. Kathrin Plank, Head of Internationalisation of Teacher Education. The meeting brought attention to the German Education system and to the comparison and sharing of experiences between DE and MK. The fourth day of the visit took us to the Primary School (Grundschule Haidenhof), where students participated in the “reading day with the children”, assisted by the students of the Faculty of Education of Passau, with whom later on followed a discussion and exchange of experiences. In the afternoon, we had a meeting with the Education and Science Workers’ Union (GEW). The trip was concluded with a visit to the NGO, Gemeinsam leben und lernen in Europa (GLL). The students participated in the workshop “Among Us”, diving deeper into fighting discrimination, recognizing inequalities in the society, education, and work.

In this year’s study trip, the students were immersed in workshops, discussions, and visits, thus gaining insights into Germany’s education system, approaches to fostering multiculturalism, decreasing discrimination and inequalities, and improving inclusion in schools.

The exchange provided valuable opportunities for cooperation and sharing of experiences and best practices, contributing to the participants’ professional growth.
